Use 17.1 inches as the starting row length.
The YMI listings give tile dimensions of 1.2 × 0.9 × 0.5 inches. If 0.9 inch is the face width, 19 tiles span 17.1 inches before extra room.
Those are planning dimensions. The listings give outside measurements for two racks, not the length of the ledge where the tiles rest.
Compare the three models.
| Model | Tiles listed | Jokers and blanks | Rack listing | Mat |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Huntington | 166; 1.2 × 0.9 × 0.5 in. | Breakdown not listed | Four racks with pushers; length not stated | Not listed |
| Ivory Stripes | 166; 1.2 × 0.9 × 0.5 in. | 10 jokers, 4 blank spares, 16 flowers | Four racks; 18 in. outside length. Usable ledge not stated. | Not listed |
For Harbor Tide and Ivory Stripes, the outside rack length is 0.9 to 1.1 inches longer than the 17.1-inch row estimate. That difference is not the usable tile space. Measure the exact rack before treating it as a fit.
The Harbor Tide and Ivory Stripes listings each include 16 flowers and 10 jokers. The American reference uses 8 of each, so ask your group which tiles to keep in play. The Huntington listing gives only the 166-tile total.
Model details are from the Harbor Tide, Huntington, and Ivory Stripes product pages, checked 13 October 2026.
Measure your copy.
Measure the tile across its face and the rack’s usable inside ledge. Enter both in the rack fit calculator. If the result is close, allow for rounded seller dimensions and your own measurement error.
The full-set pages list no mat. If yours came with one, verify its size and compare it with your table using the mat fit calculator.

Do the listed 166 tiles mean 166 tiles in play?
No. A box total can include spares or extra flowers and jokers. Enter the counts from your exact set in the tile count checker, then ask the host which pieces belong in play.
